The Literacy Library currently has four sections: The Literacy LibraryBulletins, Author Stories, Nonprofit Organizations and Finding Good Books.
The Literacy Library Bulletins are one-page articles that explore an element of literacy for parents that will stimulate thought and lead the reader to meaningful episodes in The Literacy Gallery.
The Author Stories are short descriptions of what prompted our children’s book authors to write their stories for the Books for Young Learners collection. Feel free to share with young authors in your home.
There are over 2000 US Nonprofit Organizations active in getting books into the hands of kids. Read more about finding free books and getting involved.
In our Finding Good Books section, you will see an ever-growing list of recommended books for reading to your child, building close relationships from birth through middle grades.
