Finding Good Books and Resources

The seed of desire to read and love reading must be planted and nurtured often.  Reading aloud to a child nurtures that seed.   Below you will find a list of excellent read-aloud books.  These books are selected for their humor, emotion, excitement, and timelessness.  They’re fun, inspiring, thought-provoking, and explore what it means to be human.  Some of the titles are recent publications and others are as interesting today to children as when they were first written.  Illustrations also play a key role because it is often the pictures that ignite the imagination and connections to the child’s experiences.  We hope you and your children enjoy reading these books together as much as we enjoy reading them to our own children, grandchildren, and students.
